Award-winning composer, Dan Phelps, has been releasing music since 2010 when his debut album “Reflections” was released. Since then he’s put out four other highly acclaimed albums and has worked with the Mavron Quartet, Ensemble Cymru, Altitude and the Gjylaci Duo to mention just a few.

BBC3’s Rob Cowan is a big fan and it’s not hard to see why. It’s easy to lose yourself in these timeless melodies as they gently take you on a journey through sound. The album was recorded at the Church Of The Holy Cross in Cowbridge, with Richard P John at the piano, and it’s certainly lent an air of calm to the recording.

“Lasting Light” is a moving collection of compositions which have been lovingly created and performed by Dan & Richard. It’s hard to imagine a more beautifully put together album - or as BBC Radio Wales’ Adam Walton said, “Beautiful and expansive”.
